On March 27,
North Macedonia officially joined NATO.
In his
press statement
, U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said that North Macedonia’s accession should remind other aspirant nations that NATO’s door remains open to them, and reaffirmed America’s commitment to the Article 5.
