I think many countrys put their head in the sand on this. The numbers were clear in mid January and even the Chinese mucked up in not closing down Wuhan a week earlier as many left for Chinese New Year bringing the virus with them.
The UK was lets have a herd immunity, US Intelligence was briefing it so those in the know flogged off shareholdings before a crash so likely others have done the same.
However I think that by May the worst is over, UK anyway, yes controls will be in place and maybe people will be screened in airports, not necessarily a bad thing as TB has been spread in planes for years from certain countries so why not check for a lot more.
Maybe it will change the way we travel but doubt it.
