It’s not wanting “ the venture” to fail.
Carlisle is and always will be an excellent GA airfield,perfectly situated in a big void on the NW coast of England
As a scheduled airport though it will always struggle with 5ish “major” airports within 2 hours drive.
The airport doesn’t warrant more investment,especially when road and rail provide so much local connectivity and yet both are in so much more need of massive investment?
Is a weekly flight to Palma or Alicante so important in this day and age..I think not.
Is a flight to Southend carrying 150 departing passengers in a month a wise use of funds? I think not.
The world is changing and goodness knows where aviation alone will be after this latest horrible virus!
