i absolutely agree, AIPA is the threat here!
Everyone in Qantas have to look back at their lives at their Royal Aero Club days. You would have killed to go fly a jet. No it’s not shinny jet syndrome, it’s a company willing to pay upwards of $400,000 to a capt, $300,000 for an FO and we think we’re worth more? How?
I believe every pilot should do a rotation through a company like Emirates, Jetstar, Eastern’s mid way through their career so when they come back to Qantas, they dont whinge bitch and carry on about the greatest terms and conditions available.
People don’t quit Cathay, don’t retire from China to come work for Qantas and live in Australia for a joke. We live in the greatest country in the world and we get paid absolutely above average pay. For a job that quite frankly isn’t that damn hard.
if Qantas pilots vote this down, then how stupid are they. You’re voting for your future. They’ve told you this is it. And if you don’t want to fly the A350. Don’t.
