EU261 is a good law that has kept airlines "honest".
Or, alternatively, it is a highly-damaging piece of legislation which has already killed off several otherwise viable domestic routes. And which acts as a huge disincentive to any market entrants contemplating a new service.

A TOC isn't required to award you EUR250 when your rail service is cancelled. They refund the ticket price. Why should a domestic air carrier be obliged to fork out a multiple of the ticket price?

I must ask if you consider this to be the Flybe-9 discussion thread or the Flybe-9 platitudes and deflection thread.
Healthy debate is great. A relentless campaign of negativity directed against one specific corporate entity in isolation is something else. You have been suggesting that maintenance capability may be compromised, that 'Old Etonian mates' have been conspiring together, and all manner of objectionable nonsense. This goes beyond rational discussion. It comes across as slinging mud in the desperate hope that some will stick.
