On this topic. It is a little ridiculous that flight deck are still being given thin paper cups with flimsy lids in this day and age. There was an incident several months ago with a
Condor flight heading from Germany to Cancun..Sometimes in turbulence, even with a lid, copious amounts of hot drink finds its way out of the tiny hole in the lid. I guess it'll take a serious incident to change this. Go to any major supermarket and the baby aisle will have these anti-spill cups. Should be standard issue for pilots.
