That’s too simplistic. Don’t forget most London airports have their own local market which also isn’t in London and may not be any better connected than say Exeter or any better off economically. Yes Glasgow might be ‘only’ 4.5 hours on the train from Euston but if you’re living in Brighton or Ipswich it might take you a couple of hours just to reach Euston.
