This should also be a lesson for the authorities, in Canada AND worldwide. STOP this very ambiguous marking/naming of taxiways. Would it not have been simpler to rename 13e something else. There are way too many confusing taxiways, airways and rules around the world. People are being set up to make mistakes. The authorities should take some of the blame here.
Agreed. Some time ago I was turning on to stand in a 777 and it didn’t look quite right to either of us so I stopped. It was dark, wet and I’d followed the only line I could see at the time, which happened to be the wrong one for the type even though it had the right number on it. Was able to be marshalled onto the correct line, so not irretrievable but I think I would have got *very* close to the aircraft in the next bay if I’d carried on...
