However, the saying, ‘ Don’t place your pearls before swine ‘ comes to mind when confronted with the wilful ignorance amd self interest of right wing zealots/ climate change denialists and radio shock jocks who will happily spruik science based anecdotes at social occasions to appear more cerebral but go red in the face and throw all their toys out of the cot when the overwhelming majority of scientific evidence concludes that a change in behaviour is required for our collective well being.
