Got to love the logic of these people. Protest climate change by causing mass congestion outside the airport where cars are sat idling, and by having aircraft taxiing about the airport dropping off “disruptive” pax and circling over London waiting for a stand to free up.
Cars shouldn't be "sat idling". Their engines should be turned off.
The Act enforces rule 123 of the Highway Code, which states: "You must not leave a vehicle's engine running unnecessarily while that vehicle is stationary on a public road." Doing this can incur a £20 fixed-penalty fine under the Road Traffic (Vehicle Emissions) Regulations 2002.
