I think the removal of the EMB195 from service is driving a lot of this. The loads on a destination like Milan would suggest profits are there to be made but maybe not with the Q400. Coupled with the clearly stated focus on feeding VS Longhaul flights I would guess non core bases will see reductions.

The focus as well as being a feeder will be on profitable routes. Otherwise if they were just going to feed Virgin there would be no need for a base at say Birmingham or Southampton or Exeter.
