I think they are using the ATPL test to preselect candidates and then the real deal will be the interview and the simulator. And then based on how it goes for them, they will decide if they need to call other people.
I was surprised to see so many applicants in only one day.
They have time, it's for 2020, and from what I've seen a good amount of applicants are A320 rated.
