I have sympathy for you guys, unfortunately can't offer advice, I can say though keep trying, after I finished my CPL back in the early 00's things were dire back in Canada for a newbie... ended up in SE Asia flying for a few years for a carrier lets say not so reputable (and now out of business), it did however get me some 737 time, they were strange days, but mostly good.

Look not to Europe (for the present) but further afield, my sincere advice, which worked well for me, was to directly contact the CP of smaller companies and convince them to see me. Now, if you are willing to fly half way around the world for an interview at your own expense you will find quite a bit of sympathy and willingness to go the extra mile for you. I'd go as far as to say you are 50% the way there.

Forget mailing CV's... you'll join hundreds of 200hr newbies... call, call, call and get that interview... believe me only 1 in 100 will do such a thing... and it pays off.

Sound advice on Africa... again the personal touch goes a LONG way.....
