... they could have been looking for a trigger to come forward with this measure. I have argued before that this problem should have been fixable without using the second FCC.
They can now claim we did tests of the utterly most improbable scenarions, never done before, came up with new findings, but we will fix it as safety is pri...bla bla.
Sounds better than we have failed at design, hazard and risk analysis and certification, and have to heave the trim control from DAL C to DAL A, doesn't it?
If it helps them to do the things needed to be done, so be it.
