Responsible for performing duties as Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Functional Check Pilots (FCP) in UH-72A series aircraft in CONUS/OCONUS locations. Provides aircraft flight operations to support modifications, upgrades, re-configurations, re-allocations, and the re-purposing of UH-72. Performs acceptance testing and check flights and conducts post maintenance inspection of the aircraft and maintenance records prior to operations. Conducts FCP duties for ground operational checks and Functional Check Flights (FCF) as per the approved maintenance manuals and authorized procedures. Evaluate aircraft performance, operation, and instrumentations. Conducts flight operations for the purpose of aircraft movement from designated UH-72 units, maintenance facilities or other locations. Performs flight duties in mix crew (Contractor, Subcontractor, or Government) and duties shall be accomplished during Day and Night, Visual and Instrumented Meteorological Conditions. Responsible for technical support for future systems and upgrades for the UH-72 aircraft. Conducts quality assurance inspections and FCF to ensure FAA compliance for the UH-72 fleet.
Mandatory Skills:
• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent with 10 years of relevant experience
• Must be a graduate from an UH-72A qualification course
• Must be qualified as UH-72A Functional Check Pilot (FCP)
• Must have a minimum of 1000 hours as Pilot-in-Command
• Must possess a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Commercial Certificate
• Must be able to pass the FAA Second Class Flight Physical, or DOD equivalent upon hire and annually thereafter
• Must be qualified on the UH-72 Mission Equipment Package (MEP)
• Must have ability to create training material for classroom or flight line instruction
• Must have a current Secret security clearance or ability to obtain a Secret security clearance
• Must possess a valid passport or able to obtain one
Desired Skills:
• Qualified as an Instructor Pilot/Instrument Examiner in the UH-72
