I should have been more clear in my post. Since this is a pilot's forum, and getting a positive result on a test could harm a pilot's livelihood, I thought that the study on how long it lingers would be useful information for pilots. I suspect that the chosen cooling off period may be related to that, but I do not know for a fact.
