Why is it a hideous fare? It seems reasonable for a low volume route purchased at short notice. You're not comparing like with like - your Blue Island fare is months away.
These perceptions are an issue for LM - is £260 to fly from London to Stornoway (Stornoway!!) really a lot of money?
