When I went to Simtech the APS-MCC was not yet a thing. It was a simple MCC-JOC and their XJ sim was used. It was a mix between a CRJ and Boeing 737. That would be good enough for an MCC if it was not for their rudder pedals that could not be adjusted (I am rather short) and the trim was terrible. You would trim the aircraft and one second later it would either pitch nose down or nose up whether you trimmed up or down. It was impossible to fly that thing hands off.
As far as I know, for the APS-MCC they are using a proper 737 sim.
The instructors were very good.
