It turns out the "Base Fare" is £6.00! The balance, £43.29, is made up of "Taxes & Fees".
And that £6.00 "Base Fare" is fare for a round trip, so £3.00 each way. I do understand the 'loss leader' concept but £3.00?
UK APD is terrible. If the Govt cuts it, domestic carriers will likely reduce the prices a fraction, and pocket the rest. Which wouldn't be a bad thing.
