Belize in the 1970s.

Walking to the main road to get a taxi back to base. I pass a hall of some sort where travelling preacher is holding court. The place is packed with Afro/Belizeans singing and chanting with all that they had. You could walk on the Halleluiahs coming out of the door.

Out at the back the 'ushers' in dark suits were unloading shoeboxes full of money into the trunk of a US registered Lincoln. Belize was, and probably still is, a dirt poor country and these sods were relieving them of all that they had.
