If you search for flights from FRA using Ryanair fare finder you see lots of destinations offered for 4, 5 or 7 euros to fly in May. With FRA charges those discounted seats must be heavy loss making. I think they might be able to offset airport charges with ancillary revenue when they offer those dirt cheap lead-in fares at HHN but I really doubt it is possible at FRA fees levels.
