With the recent announcement from Aurigny that they will fly GCI-JER & GCI-SOU (both Blue Islands routes) it appears that Coates & Veron have thrown their toys out of the pram & are about to ditch Aurigny as the Blue Islands ground handling agent at GCI - the Blue website is advertising the creation of a new ground handling operation at GCI. (Various positions are available including check-in agents, baggage handlers, ramp agents, despatchers and supervisory roles to ensure safe and efficient ground handling of our passengers and aircraft) For an airline that supposedly loses money I wonder how many £10's of thousands this will cost to set up & wonder where they staff will come from, a few will be made redundant from Aurigny & may transfer but I can't see a rush to fill these posts as Blue Islands aren't exactly known to be a good employer to work for.
