I think the outcomes of AF447 and TAK363 tell the opposite story! Pilots in day/VMC have a different level of information to those flying at night/IMC, or while experiencing Somatogravic Illusion.
IMO no computer software decisions should be based on assumptions about what the pilots may or may not know. And no single solution works for all eventualities.
