Onshore piston hours donít mean much in terms of getting hired.
You might find the IR a bit easier with a few hours under your belt.
Timing is everything. Companies are hiring now. Might be all over and gone from boom to a bust phase by the time you have a few hundred more hours. And the oil might run out.
And thereís the never ending uncertainty over the price of oil and winning or losing contracts.
Personally, Iíd go fixed wing and fly helis for fun. Donít get me wrong, I love my job, but itís dust off the cv time again as contracts are going elsewhere. That gets old.
