Lion Air’s subsidiary Thai Lion Air also has 2 A330-900 on order. Those could probably make it from Bangkok.

I know when Eurowings offered long haul connections through Cologne that quite a few passengers would be on connections to Bankgkok and Phuket. Also I have seen and spoke to a number of passengers flying with Emirates to Thailand.
