If you are their cadet there are two ways to do Type Rating. First is you get bonded for 4 years and they substract 416 EUR per month from your salary during the bond, together it is 20 000 EUR. If you stay the whole 4 years, you will get 50% back on 49th month as bonus to your salary, so they return you 10 000 EUR. If you decide to leave sooner, you have to pay out the rest of the bond that has not been paid yet. The other way is self sponsored type rating - donīt remember the price there, of course no bond.
Regarding the salary - you are being paid training salary from day one of the type rating. Normal FO salary is being paid after you pass the line check.
