Does anyone have any info on the Wizz Air recruitment for NTR newly qualified pilots? I see that they request 300 flight hours which is honestly quite odd. Who graduates with 300 flight hours anyway and what do they expect you to do to get those extra 30 or so hours? I feel like this recruitment just punished those that weren't forced to do extra hours.
Yep, that's very strange. From what I know, you finish the flight school with 200-ish hours. Where to get another 100+ hours? Fly small plane out of your pocket? This is expensive. Pay for Type Rating out of your pocket and recruit in other airline rather than Wizz to obtain hours? Then there's no more point trying to onboard Wizz. And if you apply to Wizz without meeting each and every requirement to the letter, you'll get a 2 year recruitment ban.
To me all this seems VERY strange. But again, I'm not in aviation sector; there definitely must exist "different kind of common sense"...
