Your 10k a month is not quite accurate.
1st. Cost of living in doha is extremely expensive beyond the costs if you wish to compare EU for instance and Qatar is not a great place to live, the quality of life is pretty low, very expensive a place taylor made for the locals that have a lot of money but not for normal working people
2nd. For you to make 10k take home, most likely you will fly 777 with rosters based on 90 to 110 hrs per month, It is pretty exhausting giving the jet lag and short layovers plus minimum rest at home, you'll barely see your family
3rd. Savings capability, consider you have a family with 2 children, yes they pay for schooling however just tuition, schools are ridiculously expensive in Doha, and quality is not the best, any additional costs you will pay for them. (There has not been any conscious salary increase for the past 4 years that can cope up with the cost of living in Qatar)
4th. Lack of opportunity for your wife. The Mrs most likely will stay at home and becomes a real problem after a while. They get really bored and to get a job is quite difficult there is no protection against sexual harassment and other issues, there has been lots of cases about that
