"Broken wrist" I read, which is not quite "minor cuts and bruises". Depending on exactly what it was, you might well get the operation on the NHS, but if you want enough physio to return to full use as previously you're looking at paying for it yourself. And it takes a year or so. Potentially quite a bit deal actually.
Que? I have broken a wrist or two 3 at least times and the treatment has never been different each time; plaster over the wrist and lower forearm for 4 weeks and off you go. One of those occasions was in basic training in the Army and I continued with the training with the plaster still in place.
