I think people need to get a grip - the difference in "safety" between say Finnair and any other European or N American airline is in real terms miniscule. You are in far more danger every time you cross the road or drive your car
IF, and only if, your travels take you to Africa South of the Sahara, parts of Russia or Indonesia your risks will be higher but believe it or not even in these places the skies are not full of falling aluminium. Your chances of accident are roughly the same as they were in the USA and Europe in say the 1960's. If this frightens or worries you DON'T GO.
For almost all airlines the chances of accidents are almost random, not systemic
