The European Commission has announced some measures designed to limit disruption in the air transport if Brexit goes ahead in March without a deal. The measures would temporarily allow British airlines to operate flights into and out of the EU - but not within it. Fortunately EZY has already established a new airline, easyJet Europe and obtained an AOC in Austria. At least in in theory this will allow them to continue flying within European countries even in case of hard Brexit. Nevertheless, the ownership of EZY Europe is and will stay British. Could this fact create any obstacle, what is your knowledge about it?
The ownership was 47% British when the annual report came out last month and they’ve stated the intention to increase it above 50% prior to the end of March
