Some of us remember the days whereby you had to 'know your stuff'.
Nowadays you only require a pulse to become RQ.
The few trainers that remain ( for their own reasons ) can make an impact by not passing these newbee's on their RQ checks. If there is an incident and it is down to a newly promoted RQ pilot then the subsequent enquiry will look at who signed him/her off as compenent. Checkers beware.
