Are both of these prices for open, flexible tickets? If your meeting finished early, or you had to stay an additional xtra night, what would it cost to rebook?
I agree that SOU is awkward to get to, either slow, quite frequent, but direct, or, usually quicker via London but needing to change stations. There's a reason why SOU is central to the Flybe network.
