A number of pilots used to get their GP to do blood tests and ECGs before their renewals - they knew what was needed and the GP did it on the NHS......
The CAA quite rightly stamped on it as it was open to skullduggery. You could bring along someone else's urine, use an ECG done years before, or get a bent nurse to send off someone else's blood
If a regulator is allowing this I am disappointed. nobody is claiming all doctors, nurses and pilots are dishonest, but we only need one case to put lives at risk
