Passenger figures will always be good if the price is right, doesn't necessarily mean it will be profitable to operate.
With oil prices rising again, it may be a while before somebody steps in.
No reason why STN can't attract an established Airline offering all classes of travel but low cost at the moment is dubious in my opinion .Should imagine Ryanair, Easy have all considered it and backed off!
Sad to see any Airline fail though , especially as many good people went there from MON.
