They had the aircraft on several domestic radar plots returning to Malaysia and westbound beyond yet led the international community to a useless search off Vietnam where they never had a primary radar target.
captain calls govt number just prior to takeoff and aircraft disappears. I believe it was a threat to force a fair election at the time .. not one that locked up candidates on trumped up charges.
nope... the Malaysian govt is neck deep in it!!!
