Ask the HAM and DTM guys how safe a base is with easyJet.
If a base is not profitable they have no shame to close it or downsize. I do not think it will happen soon after the big investment the company made with Air Berlin, but you can never be sure.

Days on duty can go from the easy 5 or 6 hours two sectors day to the horrendous 11/12 hours 4 sector day, with anything in the middle. Plenty of standbies in the winter on your 5 days, not many in the summer, when they call you most of the time to fly anyway.

I believe in germany they have 5/4/5/3, so not that difficult to calculate days off in a month. If you consider holidays, on average 25 days in a year, taken usually in blocks of 5, surrounded by 4 off before and 3 after, it’s plenty of time off.
