I am not sure if it applies to all banks or not, but; a friend left a bit over two years, with one bank account open to service two mortgages. All was well until last month when one of the mortgage providers contacted him re non payment . On investigation he found that the dates his bank had for his UAEID and visa had expired 4 months previous . As they couldn't contact him re renewal copies, they froze his account. He is still trying to sort it out. Might be worth checking your bank wont do the same .
