There is numerous hard working kiwi pilots doing the hard yards trying to get in to the national carrier. I wish you the best of luck with your permanent residency. However keep in mind that once you relinquish your command status and move to a new country and join a new airline, (assuming you get a job there) you start right down the bottom. No body will care that you used to be a 737 captain. In fact that may go against you when your resume is considered. So think it through. New Zealand is a wonderful place to live but you might have to bury your airline career.
