Three cheers for the Redoubtable Rita, though Bromley Council would probably describe her as turbulent! This is vandalism of the worst kind, occasioned by a publicly elected local authority. It seems that history experienced only in the recent past now goes into the dustbin (or rather the skip) along with the rest of it.
This chapel was dedicated in Remembrance of the Few and in Thanksgiving for our deliverance from invasion and subjugation by a brutal foe. I don't think that Bromley Council have any understanding of that, nor of what they do. I for one will never forgive them!
