I think those old Fokkers are probably fit for purpose as long as you can keep the parts and service up to them. All above exactly correct. Low airframe utilisation does not lend itself to the high capital costs of brand new airframes. However the old girl FOKKERS ( not politically correct I know) do need some TLC.
Otherwise the money saved by having the old airframes will be blown out the window by the disruptions.
