The number of ex BA FF on the ME3 and SQ is very large out of MAN, and I also have found a number on LH doing changes at FRA and MUC. The experience and product is just better in my opinion, and with those who seem to be swapping as well. You would think that some one at BA would take note, but alas for them it seems there is no interest about anybody, or business outside the M25 doughnut. Also as others have pointed out the shuttle to Manchester is often the first to get canned if problems arise. The other thing is on routes East if you compare transfer times via LHR you can be generally be nearly half way to DXB by the time you even leave UK airspace, and your bags may also not be on board if you have hold luggage via LHR !
