Supply and demand? Prior planning and preparation? It costs a lot of money to run airfields nowadays.
Yes it's expensive but at least the service was good! I've waited an hour at a large airport for fuel before now and had to pay the same if not more fees for the same privilege you got upon landing. At least the council are running the place such that of locals ever complain then they should be able to see it generates revenue and hence more likely to stay open
