QF Political Correctness ??
I read with some disbelief an article in the media in which Qantas, as a sponsor of Australian Rugby Union, expressed "disappointment" in an opinion expressed by a current player on homosexual relationships. The player, as with every other person in the country, is entitled to his / her opinion.
Qantas used to be promoted as "I own an airline" to the public. With a CEO shirt lifter who was born in Erin's Sweet Isle and who actively and openly supported the recent "Yes" campaign, I respectfully suggest that that promotion is no longer relevant. Folks, you no longer "own an airline."
In fact, I recall that, in the 90s, the Australian Rugby World Cup team was supported by Northwest Airlines and Qantas came on board only after the Australian success.
Try making success of a business, Qantas, and let Australians make up their own minds. They are more than capable of it.
