I was once on a type that was just below 10,000kgs and came across a question in an online Flydubai (CTC) application about 'recent' experience in aircraft OVER 10,000kgs. It didn't ask for my current type at that stage so I could have easily claimed recent experience over 10,000kgs, but that would've been a lie which may have been uncovered further down the line, so I wasn't prepared to risk my integrity.
Sure enough the software rejected me immediately because of my truthful answer but hey, you win you lose some. My integrity remains intact and I look upon it as their loss.
Some liars & cheats are adept at getting away with it, I'm not in that number.
