Hourly pay and productivity pay is calculated based on scheduled block hours. Deadheading counts towards this but standby and your own simulator sessions do not. If however you are rostered to 'fill' a seat on a sim support duty, then that will accrue hourly pay.
The vast majority of deadheading is linked to freighter trips on the 777. If you are not freighter qualified or on the 380, then expect to deadhead once in a blue moon.
