George Stewart Biggin Hill Flying Club & Southern Office Machines

Does anyone know what became of George Stewart who was an RAF rear gunner flying over Japanese held territory in the war? He started Croydon Flying Club in 1952 and had a typewriter business which became Southern Office Machines and lived in Coombe Rd in the late 1960s. I think he was widowed but remarried a lady called Frances in the late 1970s.

I did a Flying Scolarship at Croydon in 1956. Subsequently paid for an hour with George in a Croydon Flying Club Tiger Moth. First and last as I could not afford the cost - 3 an hour!
