Alec Parker

I seem to remember that an Alec Parker was the Suttons Seeds helicopter pilot back in the mid 1970's - think I met him around 1974. He was based in the Manchester area somewhere. Sorry - can't help with anything more up to date though.

OK, I give up, having hung up my gloves for some time now. Which heli-base in the West Midlands would that be then?
With fraternal greetings,

Alec Parker

Alec Parker, based at Barton Aerodrome in the early 1970s, flew a Hughes 300 for Twyford Moors, inspecting gas lines and electricity pylons in the North-west. He then flew a JetRanger, but I can't remember who for. He then moved to fly a Jet Ranger for a civil engineering company and was based at the south-side hangars, next to NEA at Manchester airport. If this jogs anybody's memory I would like to know where he is now.

I worked with Alec at Air Kilroe in the early '80s. His mount was G-TKHM...

Once took me for a spin and let me have a "go" - nearest thing to a crazy flying display anyone had seen !! Soon as he took control all was peace and stability.....so I took him up in the Be200 which he proceeded to fly like a 10,000 hour veteran.

Hope he is still well.
