Winchman, Mike Yarwood

A friend is trying to contact an old RAF acquaintance. He knew him when they
were both at RAF Cosford many years ago.

Mike Yarwood (no not that Mike Yarwood) went on to become a winchman
on SAR duties. Spending time at RAF Boulmer and taking part in the Piper
Alpha incident, also appearing on "This is your life"

Any help would be appreciated

Mike made the papers after the Alexander Keiland platform capsized. He had left the RAF by the time of Piper Alpha. I replaced him on the flight at Boulmer in 1986 when he went to work in some capacity at the Alcan aliminium plant down the road from Boulmer, I think in some medical capacity.
