Bob Garretson, International Air Services Inc

Grateful for feed back from anyone who has had business dealings with this gentleman, especially in the area of FAA registry trusts.

Is this the American guy who bought / sold / exported light aircraft between Europe & USA, going back over 28 or more years?

This has got me curious.

I have had 2 trust agreements with IAS and no problems when I sold one aircraft and bought another both through IAS. Before I used them, I contacted a colleague, who had used them and was similarly satisfied with their service.

Now 2 'new' posters are reviving 2 old threads. They both registered within a month of each other in 2009 and have not posted on any other threads and are being very critical of IAS.

Without seeing the substance of these allegations, I'm not inclined to attach any credence to them, though I would like to know more - PMs welcomed.

I can understand not wanting to be public with your identity in this kind of dispute, but it doesn't really further their cause, whether or not it's justified.

I also am not impressed with this gentleman. I paid in advance for a trust that I then had examined by my legal advisors who recommended that I should not proceed. I advised Mr Garrison accordingly, and did not sign the trust. His response was excitable and rambling and he insisted that the trust was mine. He, of course refused to refund my money, and now sends me yearly invoices for a trust that does not exist for an aircraft registration that belongs to someone else.

First let me say that what goldeneaglepilot wrote on 14 May 2012 was in reaction to a libelous post quoted from a person who started his own Trust company and had his own agenda. His post has since been removed. Now on to Azaiba. Several years ago Azaiba ordered a Trust from me for an aircraft he was purchasing. I wrote the Trust and had it notarized as required by the FAA and sent it to Azaiba for him to send on to the FAA with the bill of sale he would be getting from the seller. I entered the aircraft into our renewal billing system. Azaiba was sent one renewal notice. Azaiba informed me that he did not go ahead with the purchase and wanted his money back. I offered to write a new Trust for any future aircraft at no further charge. Azaiba later informed me that he wanted his money back as his legal advisors advised him not to proceed. I have never had any lawyer or solicitor inform me that there is anything wrong with our Trusts. Our Trusts are FAA approved. We have over 200 Trusts on file with the FAA. We have solicitors, barristers and lawyers as Trustors. Azaiba was unable to give me the name of his legal advisors and I never heard from one. The proof that Azaiba decided not to buy the airplane that he ordered the Trust for is his statement above that he received a yearly invoice for a Trust that does not exist for an aircraft registration that belongs to someone else. Of course the Trust does not exist if the aircraft belongs to somebody else since he never bought the aircraft. The capacity of Azaiba's brain for cognitive recollection of events and his awareness of even what is in front of his eyes can be seen from the fact that when Azaiba started this forum, Azaiba wrote my correct surname and this forum has my name on it and is dedicated to me but on the post above Azaiba gives me a different surname. Azaiba has become so mentally befuddled as to describe my reaction to his wanting a refund as excitable and rambling that he can not remember that was in fact his reaction to not getting his money back for work that I had done and money I had spent as per his instructions.
